The Parish Priest of St. Gabriel Catholic Church, Mbuko in Bwari Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Rev. Fr. Hilary Chuhwak has admonished parents to always guide their children in the right way.
He said parents especially fathers should be good examples as leaders to be there for their children and families.
Rev. Fr. Chuhwak made the remarks in his Homily at the celebration of this year’s Fathers’ Day at the church on Sunday.
According to him, fathers should not be over-protective of their female children but to allow some guided freedom for genuine suitors to look for their hand in marriage.
He cautioned against young ladies who are only interested in relationships with married noting that the Law of Karma will also catch up with them some day when they too get married.
Highlights of the Father’s Day was the taking over of all church activities by men including altar servers, wardens and choristers among others.
