The Chairman of Fika Local Government Area of Yobe State, Hon. Abdul Bukar Gadaka, has congratulated the Governor of the State, Hon Mai Mala Buni, on assuming the chairmanship of the Lake Chad Basin Governors Forum.
The chairman affirmed that the governor has the technical skills and knowledge to solve problems related to politics and governance.
The Lake Chad region is facing threats of climate change, deteriorating security, unemployment, economic threats and home to millions of people from Nigeria, Niger, Cameroon, and Chad.
According to him, Governor Buni’s being a brilliant, eloquent politician and administrator, we are confident that his appointment as Chairman of the Lake Chad Governors Forum will provide solutions to all the problems plaguing this region.
