Former Super Falcons Coach, Ismaila Mabo would watch the 2022 World Cup qualifier between the Super Eagles and the National team of Central African Republic (CAR), at the Teslim Balogun Stadium this afternoon.
The Coach is the guest of the Nigeria Football Federation, (NFF), who did not invite him during the closing activities of the Aisha Buhari Cup in Lagos where former players and coaches of the Super Falcons were honoured.
Mabo was pioneer coach of Super Falcons who groomed the team to achieve a lot in World’s women football.
The NFF later apologised to the coach for the oversight but that was after the Editor-in-Chief of Hausa Service of Radio France International (RFI), Bashir Idris travelled to Jos and aired an interview confirming coach Mabo was not invited for Aisha Buhari Cup ceremonies.
In a Facebook timeline of Bashir, Coach Mabo said he was overwhelmed by the enormous support across Nigeria.
According to Bashir’s post, Mabo watched Falconets World Cup qualifier against CAR on Wednesday and would this evening watch Super Eagles 2022 World Cup qualifying match against Central Africa Republic.
