Foundation empowers indigent women, youths in Ogbaru

Over hundred indigent women and youths received financial lifeline and various equipment to set up their own business at Akili-Ozizor in Ogbaru local government area of Anambra State under the auspices of Hope Foundation.
The founder, Hope Foundation, Dr. Elizabeth Udeze, said during the official launch of the foundation, that the empowerment project was in line with her strong desires to give back to the people of the communities in the area.
Dr. Udeze said: “This dream was an inspiration that was conceived several years ago to give back to the community as a way of showing love, contributing to peace and unity, socio-economic growth and development of our communities through scholarships and vocational educational sponsorship with a view to raising highly educated and qualified manpower in different field of endeavours.
“It has been my humble determination to set up this project that will be a life-changing experience to our sons and daughters who are, in one way or the other, deprived of the privilege of adequate resources to pursue their dreams and passion,” she added.
The chairman of the day, Hon Arizechukwu Awogu, disclosed that the foundation was targeted at giving life a meaning which is its motto, and targeting for a better life for Ogbaru people.
Among items distributed to the beneficiaries were grinding machines, sewing machines, school bags for children, wrappers, cash for sponsorship, including four shuttle buses.
Ngozi Nwakonobi, from Authentic Lady Women Group, Mrs. Ngozi Ajie of Golden Ladies Women Organisation and Morning Star Modern Women, Ogbaru, spoke about how they felt, saying that “the woman that organised this event is our mother Ugochalacha; we all are happy for such outstanding manner in which everything was taken care of.
“We are praying that more blessing shall come her way in Jesus name. I am equally using this medium to appeal to good spirit individuals to emulate her towards championing infrastructural development in Ogbaru.”
