Ganye fire: Adamawa Governor, Fintiri assures unprecedented development, commiserate with victims

Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri has assured the people of Ganye Chiefdom that his administration will not relent in providing the area with infrastructure and other dividends of democracy.
He stated this when he paid homage at the palace of Ganwari Ganye to commiserate with the royal father over the Ganye market fire disaster that occurred last week Saturday in the evening.
He told the royal father that his administration has completed the abandoned seven kilometer road project in the area and promised to do more for the benefit of the people of Ganye.

Responding, the Ganwari Ganye, Alhaji Umaru Adamu Sanda thanked the Governor for the visit and revealed that people of the area will remain indebted to the present administration.
He applauded the Governor for the giant strides so far achieved by his administration in the areas of security, education, infrastructure among other projects in the chiefdom.
In his remark, the District Head of Jada, Alhaji Umaru Ardo lauded Governor Umaru Fintiri for renovation and upgrading cottage hospital Jada to general hospital and other developmental programmes in the area.
Meanwhile, Governor Fintiri has commiserated with the victims of fire disaster in Ganye market and pledged that pledged government will assist them with four million naira to cushion their hardships and recover their losses.
The Governor who disclosed this in Ganye market, Ganye local government while addressing traders after an on-the-spot assessment visit to the market, promised that government will support the victims of the inferno.
He urged the Chairman of the local council to immediately swing into action and rehabilitate the burnt shops and warehouses, as according to him, the market is strategic in boosting the economy.
He described the calamity as unfortunate, urging the traders to bear it as an act of God and prayed to Allah to forestall the reoccurrence of such ugly incident in Adamawa.
