After years of inactivity, preparations are on top gear to stage the Gbagyi Cultural Carnival by December this year.

The Carnival brings to the front-burner the rich culture and tradition of the Gbagyi people across the four states of the country and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

The states are Niger, Kogi, Nasarawa and Kaduna.

The National Coordinator of the Carnival, Mr. Ifraimu Dauda made this known in a statement issued by his Media Consultant, Anthony Maliki in Abuja on Tuesday.

According to him, the carnival will enhance unity among the Gbagyi people and other ethic nationalities in where they reside.

Mr. Dauda pointed out that during the carnival various aspects of Gbagyi traditional will be showcased. They include various meals, mode of dressing, promoting the language among others.

He also noted that the carnival will promote cultural tourism as peoples from far and near would come and relish in the culture and traditional of the Gbagyi people.
