Supporters and lovers of a Gombe-based politician, Engineer Aliyu Mohammed (Kombat) Chairman/CEO, Velocity Group Limited have been urged to, for now, focus on supporting the State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya-led administration to succeed and complete all ongoing projects and programmes.
In a press statement titled “Let Us Remain Focused—The Time for Politics Will Come” released to Journalists in Gombe, he commended the supporters for agitating for him to declare interest in the 2027 gubernatorial race of the State.
He stated that, “My dear well-wishers and the Good People of Gombe State, I wish to express my heartfelt and profound gratitude over the overwhelming show of love and support—the calls, messages, and public encouragement. I have listened to your voices, felt your agitations, and deeply appreciate your trust and belief in me. I can’t take this for granted!”
According to him,”However, I believe it is still a little too early to engage in any form of electioneering campaigns. At this critical moment, our collective focus should remain on the outstanding work being done by our leader, His Excellency, Alhaji Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, the Executive Governor of our dear State who continues to deliver dividends of democracy across every nook and cranny of our beloved state.
“It’s evident that in barely less than six years, His Excellency has demonstrated visionary leadership through numerous developmental projects that are transforming Gombe State,” he stressed.
Mohammed added that, “These include the expansion of road networks within the metropolitan areas and across all 11 local governments, the construction of a New State House of Assembly complex, a modern judiciary complex, and a revitalized state secretariat to enhance governance and service delivery.”
He stressed that,”Most remarkably, he established the Muhammadu Buhari Industrial Park as the first of its kind in the country, positioning Gombe as a hub for industrial growth and economic empowerment.”
According to him, “In recent days, His Excellency has also intensified efforts to reward loyalty and dedication of party faithfuls and those who played pivotal roles in securing victories during both his first and second term elections.”
He added that, “These rewards—ranging from contract awards to Hajj slots, appointments, and many more—are clear demonstrations of a leadership that values commitment and service.”
The politician added that, “As we rally behind His Excellency in this people-centered mission, I want to reassure you that our philanthropic efforts and empowerment will continue without interruption. We remain steadfast in our belief that true leadership lies in serving humanity and improving lives.
“In the meantime, we will continue to widen our consultations. And as I’ve emphasized before, there’s time for governance and that of politics, when the time is right, we shall commence full political engagements—united in purpose and vision,” he assured.
He said, “Until then, let us remain focused, supportive, and committed to the progress of Gombe State. Once again, I sincerely thank you all for your incredible support and solidarity. I remain humbled and eternally grateful.”
