Gombe trains women, youth on entrepreneurship skill capacity-building

Gombe State Government has trained women and youths on skill entrepreneurship and capacity-building.
Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya who was represented by the Commissioner, Ministry for Commerce, Industry and Tourism, Nasiru Aliyu Mohammed stated this when he flag-off the 3-day entrepreneurship skill capacity building programme for women and youths that took place in Gombe.
He said the training exercise was aimed at ensuring that women and youths are self reliant.
According to the Governor, the state government has been trying it best to see that entrepreneurship is maintained.
The training exercise was in collaboration with the Gombe state government, Kambu International Nigeria Limited and Bank of Industry.
In her welcome address, managing partner and chief executive officer Kambu International Nigeria Limited Mrs. Dabney Shall-Holma described the training exercise as timely which she said Gombe was chosen for the training due to its track record on entrepreneurship.
She called on the participants not to hesitate to carry out the training exercise effectively.
The managing director, Small and Medium enterprises Bank of Industry Mr. Shekarau Dauda Omar who was represented by Ahmed Sagir said the bank is making some effort to ensure that more offices of the bank is expanded in the north east adding that Gombe state became the first to benefit the gesture.
According to him, in 2007 when the bank introduced the Bush-camp workshop for entire federation, Gombe was the first state to benefit he said.
