Governor Fintiri creates  7 chiefdoms, emirates in central, northern Adamawa

Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State has created seven new chiefdoms and emirates in two zones of the state.

The newly created chiefdoms and emirates in Adamawa central and northern zones are, the Hoba Chiefdom, headquarters in Hong, Madagali Chiefdom, headquarters in Gulak, Michika Chiefdom, headquarters in Michika and Fufore Emirate with headquarters in Fufore, with Second-Class statues.

Gombi Chiefdom has headquarters is in Gombi, Yungur Chiefdom headquarters in Dumne, and Maiha Emirate, headquarters in Maiha, with Third-Class status.

Governor Fintiri said the creation of the new chiefdoms and emirates is aimed at repositioning the traditional institution and enhancing its role in promoting peace, security, and development in the state.

He assured that his administration will continue to respond positively to genuine demands and agitations from other nationalities as need arises.
