Governor Fintiri presents N486b 2025 budget proposal to Adamawa Assembly

Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State has presented a 2025 fiscal year budget proposal of N486 billion to Adamawa State House of Assembly.

Presenting the estimated appropriation bill, tagged as “Budget of Service,” the Governor noted that the budget is hundred percent higher compared to 2024 estimates.

He said, of the budget, recurrent expenses stands at N137 billion or 28.23% while N348 billion or 71.77%, goes to Capital projects.

Gov Fintiri said his administration has pledged to achieve its eight-point agenda of security, infrastructure development, healthcare, food sufficiency, and education throughout the budget.

The Governor said N88 billion has been set aside for road construction throughout the state highlighting the administration’s commitment to improving the state’s transport network.

On education, he emphasised the importance of enhancing the system from elementary school to college.

He said N12 billion has been slated for healthcare to make it more accessible and affordable.

The Speaker Adamawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Wesley Bathiya, assured the Governor that the House will collaborate with its key stakeholders to expedite the bill’s passage.

Bathiya pledged that, the House will work with the governor so as to ensure Adamawa citizens enjoy the benefits of democracy.
