Governor Ishaku swears in Taraba electoral commission chair, members

Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku has sworn in Philip Duwe as the Chairman of Taraba State Independent Electoral Commission and seven Commissioners.
The Commissioners are Zuwaira Kishimi,Heidi Nyan, Umar Wameh, Gubairu Danfulani, Yakubu Angyu, Chindo Isah and Johnson Warwar.
Speaking during the ceremony at the Government House Jalingo, Governor Ishaku encouraged the Chairman and Members of the Commission to always ensure that elections are free, fair, credible and acceptable in the State.
He applauded Philip Duwe for conducting a credible Local Government polls devoid of litigations last year in the State.
The Governor charged them not to be deterred by forces that would want to undermined their integrity as the Commission is tasked with lots of responsibilities.
Governor Darius Ishaku also advised them to adopt modern ways in conducting credible elections.
Commenting,Chairman of TSIEC Philip Duwe thanked Governor Darius Ishaku for the confidence reposed in them.
He appreciated Governor Darius Ishaku for identifying with people of the State that have distinguished themselves in all ramifications describing him as a man who has the capacity and strategy to lead people of the State.
Duwe,pledged TSIEC resolve to always do what is right for the sake of the future.
Philip Duwe is serving for the second term.
State Chief Judge Philibus Andetur administered the oath of office for the Chairman and Commissioners.
