Governorship Election: Environment Minister, hopeful elections will reflect true will of the people
The Minister of Environment Barrister Abdullahi Mohammed Hassan has expressed optimism over the ongoing governorship and state assembly election, saying, he is hopeful that elections will reflect the will of the people.
Barrister Abdullahi Hassan who also said though there is voters apathy, as people did not come out en-masse as was recorded during the Presidential and National Assembly election, however said the process was very peaceful.
He made this known in a phone conversation with Apex News Exclusive after casting his vote at his Uke polling unit this Saturday morning.
He further stated that ” You know INEC instructed that after voting we should leave the venue of the election, I voted and left without any hitches .
“Although there was voters apathy, but I think the election is quite peaceful ,which is one achievements compared to previous years” He said.
