Governorship: Taraba south youths vow to campaign for success of SDP’s Danladi Baido

Youths in southern parts of Taraba State have vowed to campaign for the success of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) governorship candidate in the state, Hon. Danladi Baido in the March 11 polls.
The youths under the Ubangayya Wukari Federation had series of meetings in Wukari, Jukun spiritual home, where they pledged their loyalty for the election victory of Hon. Baido.
Hon. Danladi Baido is popularly known as Ubangayya.
Before the Wukari meetings, the Ubangayya Wukari Federation under its coordinator, Victor Onah had visited Ibi, Takum and Donga local government areas in the state where they met with youths and other stakeholders that agreed that Hon. Baido is better placed than all the candidates to be Governor of Taraba State.
However, the Wukari meeting further addressed some grey areas within the Ubangayya Wukari Federation movement and enhanced some sections. They include establishing media teams, security team, increase membership of officials to unit levels and invigorate promote house-to-house campaign among others.
Among those that attended the Wukari meeting are Ubangayyi groups from Ussa, Ibi, Bantaje, Doroya, Donga, Yangtu, Wukari Constituency I, Wukari Constituency II, Takum I, Takum II, Kwanbo and officials from Ward levels.
Mr. Onah told Apex News Exclusive in Wukari on Wednesday that the acceptability of Hon. Baido by voters is increasing astronomically in southern part of the state.
According to him, it is only Hon. Baido of the SDP among all other governorship candidates in the state that has records of genuine connection with the people in the past as Commissioner of Chieftaincy and Local Government Affairs and that of finance.
He said Hon. Baido’s track records is what is speaking for him now.
Apart from Ubangayya Wukari Federation, other Ubangayya groups in Taraba State include Ubangayya Lovers, Ubangayya Kawai, Ubangayya Zalanta, Ubangayya Tunari, Ubangayya Loyalists, Ubangayya Ambassadors, Ubangayya in Diaspora, Ubangayya Leaders, Ubangayya Doers and Ubangayya NTA, Jalingo.
