The sum of N100million is to be distributed to poor and vulnerable people in Gombe State by a renowned businessman, philanthropist and politician, Bala Bello Tinka as part of his contribution to alleviating the current economic hardship Nigerians are going through.

Speaking during the flagg-off of the distribution in Gombe, Tinka said that the gesture is focused at assisting the needy across the state in order to ameliorate their sufferings.

The Founder and Chief Executive Officer of a construction firm, Tinka Point Limited, explained that the gesture was part of his contribution to bringing succour to the downtrodden members of the society especially in this period of hardship in the country.

According to him, the N100 million will be given out to 10,000 individuals in across the state to help them buy food and other items that will make life meaningful for them and their families.

Tinka added that the decision to provide the assistance was in view of the current hardship and suffering faced by the people of his community.

He particularly stated that some of his neighbours in ‘Nayi Nawa’ community complained of hunger and he sent his aides to assess their condition which he said triggered him to earmark up to the sum of N100 million from his wealth to share to the less privileged persons.

The philanthropist explained that the money would be shared to 10,000 vulnerable persons via traditional and religious leaders adding that in addition to the money, food items would also be given out to another 500 people.

He charged other wealthy individuals to give out to the needy in the state in order to complement government’s palliatives and mitigate the hardship faced by the citizens.
