History’ll judge electorates if right people not elected – Atiku

A former Vice President of Nigeria and PDP presidential aspirant, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has emphasised that if he or any other right candidate is not elected to power next year, the electorates are the ones too be blamed.

He said the situation in Nigeria has gotten to a stage Where the right set of people must intervene to save her.

He spoke when he addressed PDP stakeholders in Calabar as they prepare for 28 of May 2022 party primaries.

“History will judge the electorates if we fail to elect the right people to positions of power.

“I am ready, qualified, available and have the right credentials which reasons I have offered myself to intervene in the country’s situation”.

The former VP alleged that the national ruling party led by a former army general has failed woefully in the area of security thereby put Nigerian lives at risk.

He said he has the capacity, determination and courage to fix the issue of insecurity.

“The government of President Buhari has completely disappointed Nigerians in the area of security. The northern part of the country is the worst hit. The situation should no longer continue.”

He stressed that PDP can no longer afford to be in opposition, adding that they will reclaim both Cross River State and the country.

The aspirant said if he becomes the president, he will work with the National Assembly to restructure the country.

He said he will give more powers to both the state and local government councils.
