Hon. Abdulmumuni Jibrin returns to House of Reps for 3rd time

The former chairman House of Representatives Committee on Finance, Dr Abdulmumuni Jibrin of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been reelected to the House.
He got 41,070 votes to edge his close rival, Ali Datti Yafo of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who received 40,441 votes for the Kiru/Bebeji Federal Constituency of Kano State.
Dr Jibrin is returning to the House of Representatives for the third time. Jibrin was instrumental to the emergence of Speaker Yakubu Dogara before the Bauchi State-born legislator returned to the PDP.
With Jibrin return to the House, he becomes an A-list member of the Green Chamber.
On Thursday, supporters of former Kano State Governor, Dr Rabiu Kwankwaso, disrupted a special prayer session for a peaceful elections at Dr Jibrin country home at Bebeji killing three persons and burning about 15 vehicles.
An aide to Dr Jibrin told Apex News that supporters of the lawmaker have been celebrating the victory.
