I'm going to place Orumba North on world map – Obinabo

A veteran broadcaster with Anambra State Broadcasting Service (ABS), Hon. Mrs. Ify Obinabo, has assumed duties as the new Transition Committee Chairman of Orumba North Local Government Area, even as she said she will tap the rich agricultural resources in the area to empower Orumba North indigenes.
She described Orumba North as one of the agricultural belts of Anambra State, noting that its citizens depended mainly on agricultural production to sustain their economy.
The former Special Assistant to Governor Willie Obiano on Agriculture said she would expose the farmers to agro loans, inputs and modern tools that would encourage more people to participate in the sector.
Hon. Obinabo pledged to go into a creative partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture to realize her initiative of empowering the communities in the area to contribute effectively to nation building.
She advised women going into politics to showcase their potentials through contributions to the transformation of the society and character to achieve results.
According to her, women should be dogged and committed to overcome obstacles impending their success in the political landscape.
Mrs. Obinabo appreciated Governor Willie Obiano for his decision to offer women political appointments to enable them contribute to deepening democratic governance in the state.
The Transition Committee Chairman also applauded the wife of the Governor, Mrs. Ebelechukwu Obiano for her good works through the CAFE initiative.
