Despite amazing potentials, Bauchi State is today confronted with the greatest odds of excruciating poverty, high unemployment, overwhelming illiteracy, internal tensions and strife.
The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), gubernatorial candidate for the state, Ambassador Shuaibu Ahmed Adamu expressed this while interacting with our correspondent.
He lamented that water, education, health facilities and security of lives and property are now mere optical illusions in Bauchi State.
He added that infrastructure have decayed while access to education and health in the state are dwindling.
According to him, the economy of the state has been battered due to high level of corruption and mismanagement. “In short, the basic needs of the people have been ignored by those at the helm of affairs in the state,” he added.
Speaking further, he emphasized that things must not be allowed to continue unabated.
Ambassador Adamu noted that most citizens of the state are convinced that things cannot continue on this path and charged all to make deliberate efforts in ensuring that the state bounces back.
