A victim of Ardo Kola bomb blast in Taraba State

Taraba State Governor, Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku has stressed the need for people of the state to be alert and remain watchful of suspicious movement or persons in their communities.
The Governor stated this when he visited Iware, Ardo Kola Local Government Area to commiserate with the people on the recent bomb blast that killed and injured several persons in a local joint in the community.
Governor Ishaku who was represented by a high powered delegation led by his Deputy, Haruna Manu described the incident as unfortunate and called on the people to work collaboratively with security personnel against perpetrators of evil to curb what he described as a new dimension of insecurity in the state.
The Governor equally urged the security personnel to be proactive in the discharge of their responsibility to avoid future occurrence.
He explained that his administration will not relent in its effort of securing lives and property of the citizens, stressing that tougher measures awaits any individual found disturbing the public peace either directly or indirectly.
Condoling the Chief of Iware, Ardo Bello Manga earlier on his arrival, Governor Darius Ishaku re-emphasised on the need for community leaders in the state to always verify deeply in knowing the identity of any stranger in their locality to avoid infiltration of criminals in the society.
Governor Ishaku also visited the scene of the blast and the Iware Primary Care Centre where some of the casualties are receiving treatments and told them that the state government has shouldered the responsility of their medical bills and prayed for their speedy recovery.
Commenting over the unfortunate incident,the Speaker,Taraba State House of Assembly, Professor, Joseph Albasu Kunini also condemned in strong terms the recent spate of insecurity in the state,stressing the commitment of the house to strengthening the existing legislations against criminals.
Those in the delegation include Commissioners,Chairman of Ardo Kola Local Government Area, Ismaila Zakari,Special Assistants to the Governor and a host of other senior government officials.
