Chairman, Institute of Builders, Bauchi State Chapter, Builder Mohammed Garba
As the world marks International Day of Builders, the Bauchi State Institute of Builders Chapter has called on citizens of the state to always seek for guidance before erecting buildings for habitation.
The state Chairman of the chapter, Builder Mohammed Danlami Garba stated this when he spoke to reporters on the significance of the day.
Builder Mohammed Danlami Garba Said that the institute has good relationships with other relevant organs such as institute of surveyors, institute of town planners among several others to ensure safe houses for habitation.
He also said that citizens of the state should avail themselves the opportunity of coming to them for advice before building which according to him is necessary and logical.
On the need to sensitize the public to understand the works of builders, he said that they body has been doing that for quite some time but some people like cutting corners which in essence creates loopholes in their activities.
He promised to ensure citizens of state adhere to laid down protocols and follow rules guiding buildings to stop building collapse. He equally commends Governor Bala Mohammed for engaging them in most of the building activities currently ongoing in the state.
