Technical Adviser {TA) of Wikki Tourists FC of Bauchi, Kabiru Dogo has lamented that is was painful losing a very crucial match at the dying minutes of the game.
The 86th minutes goal scored by Wakili Abdullahi was all Niger Tornadoes needed to take away the 3 maximum points in its match against Wikki Tourists fc on match day 22 of the#npfl22 played at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna.
Reports have it that 21 minutes into the game, Niger Tornadoes FC got a penalty which could have given them an early lead but Wikki Tourists goal tender, Galadima Mohammed saved the spot kick played by Ufere Chinedu.
Both teams played cautiously avoiding any situation that could lead to goal. Although Tornadoes made pockets of attempts at goal, but goalkeeper Galadima Mohammed was at his best in the match saving more than 4glaring scoring chances created by the home team.
The doggedness and resilience of the Wikki Tourists players ensured that they contained most of the pressure while also putting the home team on their toes too until end of first half which ended without a goal.
On resumption to the second half, both teams became more tactical making some Substitutions to strengthen their teams.
Just 4 minutes to end the regulation time, Wakili Abdullahi capitalised on a rolling ball around Wikki Tourists top of goal post and headed home for the only goal of the match grabbing the 3 points at stake.
In his post match reaction, Kabiru Dogo said that, “It pains to loose at that crucial moment of the game when we were hoping to picking a point, however that’s football for you” .
He added that, “My boys played very well especially my goalkeeper who even saved a penalty, the boys did very well, I have to commend them for that” .
The Wikki Tourists gaffer added that the focus is now on the next match soliciting for more support and understanding from the Supporters of the team.

On the reserve bench were Sulaiman Saliu Dogo, Mustapha Abdullahi, Ishaya Anyu, Evans Ifeatu, Manu Garba Ismail Maiyaki, Anas Yusuf, Alfred Silas, Alladoun Kolimba while the unused players were,Sulaiman, Evans, Alladoun, Mustapha.
Wikki Tourists next game is at home to Kwara United FC on match day 23 on Sunday 17/4/22.
