Japan billed to hand over $81,520 for Vocational Training Project in Cross River

The Embassy of Japan has announced that “The Project for Construction of Iglaba Vocational Training Centre in Obudu Local Government Area in Cross River State” has been completed.
The newly constructed vocational training facility will be handed over to the community with the presence of Mr Yutaka
Kikuta, Japanese Ambassador to Nigeria, Tuesday July 10, 2018.
In a statement emailed to Apex News on Thursday, the Embassy hopes that the assistance will contribute to improvement of employment opportunities, and will strengthen the amicable relationship between Japan and Nigeria.
Under the GGP, 164 projects with a total amount of US$11,415,338 have been implemented throughout Nigeria since 1998.
Meeting diverse needs and bringing a direct impact on the well-being of grass-roots communities, the GGP is designed to provide grant assistance to non-profit organizations implementing development projects at the grass-roots level. The statement noted that today, the GGP is the Japanese assistance scheme well-known for its swift and pro-poor approaches in Nigeria.
