Jema’a LG chairman strengthens ties with monarchs in development drive

The Chairman of Jema’a Local Government Area, Hon. Peter Tanko Dogara, has embarked on a thank-you tour to the six traditional rulers across the LG as part of efforts to strengthen collaboration for the betterment of Jema’a.
Hon. Dogara visited the palaces of the six traditional institutions in the area, where he commended the traditional rulers for their unwavering commitment to promoting peace, unity, and security. He reiterated that maintaining harmony is a collective responsibility and assured the chiefs of his administration’s readiness to work closely with them in achieving sustainable development.
During the visit, the Chairman highlighted several achievements of his administration since assuming office. These included security improvements, educational interventions, healthcare services, poverty alleviation programs, and the creation of a favorable environment for investment, all of which align with his five-point agenda.
He acknowledged the challenges facing the chiefdoms and the emirate, particularly regarding infrastructure, electricity supply, road networks, and functional rural hospitals. Hon. Dogara reassured the traditional rulers of Governor Uba Sani’s commitment to rural development and the completion of all inherited infrastructural projects in Jema’a Local Government Area.
Appealing for continued support and collaboration, the Chairman urged the traditional rulers to work with the government in attracting more development to the area. He emphasized the importance of unity between traditional institutions and government structures to enhance governance at the grassroots level.
In their separate remarks, the traditional rulers lauded Governor Uba Sani for his dedication to peace, unity, security, and infrastructure development. They also urged the state and local governments to consider essential road projects, including bridges, culverts, and drainage systems, to improve economic activities in their domains.
The traditional rulers visited during the tour include; Kpop Gwong of Kagoma Chiefdom, Col. Paul Zakka Wyoms (Rtd.), Emir of Jama’a, Dr. Muhammadu Isa Muhammadu II, Tum Nkyop of Kaninkon Chiefdom – Mallam Tanko Tete, Chief of Godogodo Chiefdom, Rev. Dr. Habila Saidu, Chief of Barde (Nyekpa) Chiefdom, HRH Daniel Njebi Lemson, Agwam Fantswam of Zikpak Chiefdom, Dr. Josiah Tagwai Kantiyok
Hon. Dogara’s visit signifies his administration’s commitment to fostering strong relationships with traditional institutions to ensure effective governance and sustainable development in Jema’a Local Government Area.
