Jos DISCO creates 4 new regional offices, promotes 1,600 staff

The Jos Electricity Distribution Plc (JED), has created four new regional offices to boost quality service delivery and productivity.

Dr Adakole Elijah, Head, Corporate Communications of the company, disclosed this in statement on Friday in Jos.

He said that Mr Abdu Mohammed, the Managing Director of the company announced the development at a meeting with members of   staff.

The managing director also explained that the move aimed at bringing quality services nearer to its customers.

”We now have 12 regional offices in the company.

”The newly created regions are Yelwa, carve out of Bauchi, Tudun Wada from Bukuru, Doma from Gombe and West of Mines from Jos Metro,” he said.

To further boost productivity and motivation among staff, the managing director also announced that 1,600 members of staff were promoted to their next levels.

He regretted that the promoted personnel were stagnated since 2013, adding that the move would promote optimal performance, particularly in the area of revenue generation.(NAN)
