Kano central: ADP candidate, Abdulmajeed, confident of emerging winner
Hon. Abdulmajeed
The Action Democratic Party (ADP) candidate for Kano Central Senatorial District, Hon. Abdulmajeed Babangida Sa’ad, has expressed optimism of emerging victorious in the February 19, 2019 polls.
He told newsmen in Abuja on Sunday that his optimism was borne out of the conviction that the electorates are tired of recycling politicians.
According to him, the people wanted a change from former Kano State Governor, Ibrahim Shekarau of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Hon. Ali Madaki of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who are among candidates he is contesting with.
Sa’ad explained that Nigeria’s democracy was gradually degenerating, the future not negotiable and time to redefine our values to safeguard the nation.
He said the ADP frowned at the slow development of democracy in the country and that rather than increase the pace of growth, Nigeria’s hard earned democracy was indeed sliding backwards.
The candidate also noted in the last 18 years of Nigeria’s return to democratic rule, dividends of civil rule has not increased in value and social values are constantly been eroded with educational, health, judicial and moral standards on the decline.
He stressed that neither the APC nor PDP has proven to have in practical sense solution to the country’s pervasive economic, political and security woes noting that the ADP is the credible alternative for present and future of Nigeria.
