Katsina civic group holds town hall on peace, security

A Katsina State civic group, Democracy Drivers Network (DDN) in collaboration with Organization for Community Civic Engagement and Development (OCCEN) and funded by the National Endowment for Democracy (NED) Washington D.C United States, hosted a town hall meeting on peace and security.
The town hall brought together a diverse group of stakeholders, including security personnel, religious leaders, government officials, civil society organizations, media representatives, youths, women, and academics.
The convener, Ismail Bello emphasized the importance of collaboration and dialogue in achieving sustainable peace.
“This town hall serves as a platform for open and honest discussion on the challenges we face and for identifying solutions that can bring us together,” Bello said.
Participants shared their concerns, ideas, and recommendations, setting the stage for a collaborative approach to addressing the security issues plaguing the state.
The town hall meeting was held on Saturday 31, August 2024 at the Hayatt Regency Suites, Hotel, Katsina.
