Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State has distributed 24 brand new Toyota Foruner and Prado jeeps to members of Kebbi State House of Assembly on Tuesday in Birnin Kebbi, saying the vehicles were meant to ease the official duties of the lawmakers.
Handing-over the vehicles to the Honourable members at Government House, Birnin Kebbi, the governor said the vehicles were meant to ease the official duties of the lawmakers.
The Governor thanked the Legislators for their cooperation and understanding with the Executive Arm, saying that he had being enjoying absolute harmonious working relationship with the Assembly besides that of the Leadership of the ruling prty APC and members of the Executive Council..
He recalled that he had purchased and distributed 30 brand new vehicles to security agencies, 28 to Commissioners and today, “we are witnessing the distribution of 24 brand new Toyoa Fortuner Jeeps to members of Kebbi State House of Assembly.”
In another development, Governor Idris sworn-in Sole Administrators of the 21 LGAs in the state and charged them to operate an open door policies and always dwell amongst the local communities as well as desist from frequenting the state capital unnecessarily.
The governor said the new set of LG administrators featured an amalgamation of both old (experienced) and young (youth) politicians, so that the young can learn from the seasoned politicians.
He stressed that the combination of the political classes was a fulfilment of his campaign promises of providing equal opportunities for both the young and the old in the struggle to take the state to the next level.
