Kebbi rehabilitates political thugs, appoints 200 as SAs

Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State has appointed 200 APC party youths as Special Assistants on monthly salary, in furtherance of efforts to rehabilitate political thugs and co-opt them into governance.
Letters of appointment were presented to them at the State APC Secretariat, Birnin Kebbi, on Thursday, by the State Party Chairman, Abubakar Muhammadu Kana Zuru.
He informed them that the gesture was in fulfilment of the promise by Governor Nasir Idris to integrate political youths into the main stream society as productive members of growth and development.
“Kauran Gwandu has delivered what is needed to be done, he has fulfilled his campaign promises by 85%, as a veteran labour leader, the governor knows the importance of service delivery,
“Nasir Idris has not only transformed Kebbi, but also running an open and transparent administration, he is a benevolent leader”, the APC Boss said.
The State APC Youth Leader, Atiku Biki Zauro, reminded party youths that, it now behoved on them to reciprocate the gesture by remaining law abiding and well behaved at public functions and gathering.
“We are grateful to Kauran Gwandu for his act of magnanimity of appointing hundreds of our members as Special Assistants and placing them on monthly salary”, Zauro remarked.
One of the newly appointed Special Assistants, Mallam Kalala, stated that all party youths have vowed to throw away all forms of thuggery or constituting nuisance or chanting slogans as well as noise making at public gatherings where the governor was in attendance.
