The convoy of Plateau State Governor Simon Lalong and that of his Deputy, Professor Sonni Tyoden were attacked on Saturday at Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) Camp at Zawan near Jos.
The Governor was at the camp to present relief materials to the IDPs.
Apex News gathered that though the Governor was unhurt, cars in his entourage were hit and windscreen smashed.
The displaced persons were complaining when the Governor arrived and was addressing them.
He promised that the attackers will not be arrested.
A representative of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Eugene Nyelong commended the government and others supportive of the IDPs.
