Funeral prayers for late Musa Gwabba

After the completion of autopsy and other medical examinations at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital (ATBUTH) to ascertain the actual cause of his death, Bauchi State Police Command on Tuesday released the corpse of later Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bauchi LGA, Musa Hussaini Gwabba to his family for burial.
The funeral prayers was held at the Gwallaga Jummaat mosque at about 10am with hundreds of sympathizers in attendance after which his remains was buried at the Muslim burial ground along Gombe road
Some of the people who spoke to our Correspondent at the venue tested to the good characters of late Musa Hussaini Gwabba describing him as an easy going person who was nice to all who crossed his path.
Bashir is one his childhood friends who came from Gombe to witness the burial program and he simply said that, “The sad news came to me as a shock because I am still wondering what he could have done to deserve bee ln killed”.
He however said that, “though Allah knows what happened, we, his friends will ensure that justice was done and whoever has a hand in the circumstances that led to his death must be brought to face the full wrath of the law.
Another person, Mohammed Inuwa who is a political associate of the late Chairman of the APC said that, “this is a strange thing to happen in the history of Bauchi politics, just because someone stood by the truth, some people who are not comfortable with the new thing ganged up to kill him. Allah will expose them”.
He called on Bauchi State Police Command to ensure that all those fingered in the murder were apprehended and prosecuted no matter their status and position in the society.
The general consensus is that some politicians are believed to be behind the murder through food poison which was alleged to have been administered in his food while in a hotel where he and other political leaders lodged preparatory to the swearing in of Executive members of the party at the ward level last week Friday.
