Lulu appointed Patron of Women 4 Buhari & Osinbajo

A frontline football administrator and educationist, Alhaji Sani Lulu Abdullahi, made his formal entry into the country’s politics last Wednesday in Abuja when he was appointed a patron of Women 4 Buhari & Osinbajo, an arrowhead of a group campaigning for the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari and his vice, Yemi Osinbajo.
At   Lulu’s investiture which was conducted at a colourful ceremony witnessed by more than 100 members of the group as well as friends and associates of Alhaji Sani Lulu Abdullahi, at his residence in Abuja, the leader of the group, Ambassador Fatima Adams said they decided to confer the honour of a patron on Alhaji Lulu Abdullahi because of his track records in football administration, especially when he was the president of the Nigerian Football Federation from 2006-2010.
She said Lulu’ s transparency in the administration of the place, as well as his overall  administrative qualities speak volume about his competence and eligibility, where he impacted on the people that came across him, especially those from his home state Kogi.
Ambassador Adams said even since his leaving office, Alhaji Lulu Abdullahi has continued to conduct himself exemplarily, providing education and jobs for the poor and those in need. She said with Lulu’s appointment into President Buhari’s Support Group, he should bring his qualities to bear in ensuring that President Buariis was re-elected in 2019.
Responding to the award, Alhaji Abdullahi described the honour bequeathed on him as “a very great time for me in my entire life.Only God knows how appreciative I am with this honour. It is a rare opportunity for which I am relying on God Almighty to guide me through.”
The Kogi-born administrator promised to use his position to mobilise support for President Buhari and his Vice towards their re-election.
Alhaji Lulu hailed President Buhari for sanitizing the nation and the great effort he has been making   in addressing corruption which he said has been the greatest impediment to the development of the country. He described President Buhari as a great blessing to the nation, stressing he deserves to be given another chance by Nigerians.
He said: “Before the coming to power of Buhari, Nigeria used to be seen as money-laundering, pariah nation. But today, the story is different, as Buhari is the first leader to really tackle corruption headlong, and the task has not been easy.
He added: “In all my years on earth I have not seen a leader who has fought corruption like Buhari. There’s no doubt that God has ordained him to lead Nigeria and no human being can change this.” He also scored him high on security, adding that without him coming to office Boko Haram insurgents would have taken control of the larger part of the country, especially the North. He scored Buhari and his team more than 90 per-cent and urged Nigerians from all walks of life to rally round Buhari and his deputy in the 2019 elections.
The following day, Alhaji Sani Lulu and his team were received at the headquarters of the Buhari’ umbrella campaign organization, The Buhari Group, by its director-general, Umar Dembo, a member of its BOT, Alhji Nakande Dasuki,Senator Bisi Oyewo, North Central Coordinator for the Group, and Ambassador Fatima, among others.
