Oby with Soyinka in the middle
A former Minister of Education, Oby Ezekwesili has felicitated with Noble Laureate, Professor Wole Soyinka on his 84 birthday Friday.
Using her verified twitter handle @obyezeks, the Bringbackourgirls advocate wrote “Happy & glorious birthday to our iconic Kongi! Hardly believable that Prof is today 84.”
She said “May your latter years be even more ebullient than the past ones. Your intellectual steadfastness is such a blessing to Nigerian. Even more, your simple life, an intergenerational example.”
Apex News reports that Professor Soyinka was born on July 13, 1934 in Abeokuta. He received the Noble Prize for Literature in 1986.
