Monarchs, town unions, critical for growth of development centres – Administrator

Enugu State Governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi

The new Administrator of Nsukka South Development Area in Nsukka Local Government Area of Enugu State, Mr Ernest Ogwo, says traditional rulers and town unions are vital for growth of the areas.
He told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Nsukka, Enugu State, that as a new administrator, he would partner with traditional institutions, town unions and other stakeholders to realise the objectives of creating the development area.
He said “with the cooperation of traditional rulers, town unions and stakeholders in the area, we will work to achieve the objectives of creating Nsukka South Development Area which is to bring development to the grassroots.
“Nsukka Local Government Area before now has three development areas, they are Nsukka Central, Nsukka West and Nsukka East.
“Nsukka South Development Area is among the new development areas created by Enugu State government.”
He said it was a challenge for him as the first administrator of the area to work hard to put in place that would help ensure rapid development in the area.
He added that “I see my appointment as the first administrator of Nsukka South as a challenge because whatever foundation I lay will either help the area to develop rapidly or affect its development.
“I will visit communities that made up the areas to know their problems and know how to assist them in solving the problems.”
The administrator thanked Gov. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for finding him worthy for the job, and promised that he would do his best to justify the confidence. (NAN)
