Musa, Iwobi, Ogu ready to rampage against Argentina

Three Super Eagles players: Ahmed Musa, Alex Iwobi and John Ogu have expressed confidence ahead of the last group D match against La Albiceleste of Argentina at the ongoing Russia 2018 Fifa World Cup in Saint Peterborough, on Tuesday 26 June.
The players made this assertion in an interview with journalists, after they arrived Saint Peterborough for the all important game that guarantees them a safe passage to the Round of 16 matches. They expressed confidence to take on the psychologically weakened La Albiceleste.
Super Eagles and CSKA of Moscow forward Ahmed Musa reassured Nigerians on how committed the Super Eagles players are going into the last group match against La Albiceleste, led by Jorge Sampaoli
“I’m excited playing at the senior World Cup for the second time in my football career not only that but also breaking the country’s record once again in a crucial match against Iceland.
He adds “everyone knows the importance of this match against Argentina, we believe that it is going to be a difficult game but we are ready to give our all after 95 minutes and I’m sure we would get the three point since its the only lifeline left for our progress in this World Cup.
“Russia has been my second home having been playing here for six years, so I always felt at home anytime I’m called upon to represent my country I will give over 100 percent” says Musa
In similarly version, Super Eagles wing wizard, Alex Iwobi and powerful midfielder, John Ogu, believes that victory against La Albiceleste of Argentina is not negotiable.
“Its always been my dream to play at the biggest football showpiece, especially at the World Cup. So I’m not scared of Argentina, my confidence is extremely high, going by the way we performed in our last match against Iceland and I believe we have prepared really hard for the Argentines. Its an honour representing my country at this stage and even if some of us do not get the chance of playing on the pitch, the most important thing is for us to soar high enough against La Albiceleste, on Tuesday” Iwobi maintained.
In the same way John Ogu revealed the readiness of the team in this last group encounter against Argentina.
“We had two training sessions after our victory against Iceland, every Super Eagle’s spirit is very high as we are looking forward to the Tuesday match in Saint Petersburg”
“Pundits have placed Argentina on the World Cup exit door due to how they have struggled in their last two games, but we are unperturbed about that opinion because La Albiceleste  are one of the toughest opponents to crack even as we would give over 150 percent performance just to fight for our darling country Nigeria” Ogu expressed
As the Super Eagles of Nigeria set sights on victory against the La Albiceleste  of Argentina, Ahmed Musa remains the only Nigerian player who have gotten a brace in a World Cup match against Lionel Messi’s Argentine side, as Alex Iwobi registered two goals in a friendly ahead of the Russia 2018 World Cup here in Russia.
However, Super Eagles would be playing La Albiceleste for the 7th time out of which Argentines won 4 times and Super Eagles won one game. Total of 14 goals have been scored in last six meetings.(Gongnews)
