The Nigerian Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (NASME) and the Bank of Industry (BoI) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to boost business opportunities for SMEs.
NASME President, Dr. Abdulrashid Yarima signed on behalf of the association while Dr. Olasupo Olusi, Managing Director and CEO signed for the Bank.
Dr. Yarima explained that the MoU aimed at reducing poverty, create employment and to scale-up businesses of SMEs in the country.
“We are expecting all government interventions from them to always partner with us so that we present them with lists of SMEs as the national association,” he explained.
Dr. Yarima further noted that there will be on invention of N1 million for each member of the association and another benefit from BoI products.
He also applauded the President Bola Tinubu Government for its supports and drive of the economy through SMEs Programme across the country.
NASME National Publicity Secretary, Hon Gadafi Mohammadu Asemanya Jnr in a statement Friday, advised Nigerian youths, women, widows and businessmen and women to register with the association to enjoy the benefit of the MoU.
He said the two organizations aim to change and improve businesses in Nigeria.
The National Publicity Secretary appreciated the efforts of NASME National President for assuring members benefit from business opportunities across the 774 local government areas in the country.
Hon. Asemanya Jnr also appreciated Dr. Olusi as well is entire BoI Management for having conference on NASME and its leadership.
The National Publicity Secretary urged state governors across the country to partner with NASME to reduce poverty and stimulate the economic conditions of their people.
He appealed to all well-meaning federal government agencies to emulate the BoI initiatives.
