Members of NYCN in solidarity with their former President
Members of National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), turned out in large numbers in solidarity with their former president, who went to pick the Expression of Interest and Nomination forms.
The youths, who caused a heavy traffic jam around the APC secretariat in Wuse II, Abuja, came to support Rt. Hon. Elizabeth Ativie, the pioneer Board of Trustee (BoT) Chairperson, and the first Female President of the NYCN.
The mammoth crowd of youths, led by NYCN President, Dr Solomon Adodo, have shut down movement on the roads leading to the APC National Secretariat.
Ativie, who picked the Nomination and Expression of Interest forms, is vying for a seat at the Federal House of Representatives.
She is seeking election to represent Orhionmwon/Uhunmwonde Federal Constituency of Edo State.
Adodo, said that the youths were at the APC Secretariat to give honour to a deserving youth leader.
According to him, Ativie sacrificed her youthful years for the struggle to ensure the progress and development of youths in all spheres of life.
The NYCN president said that the council would continue to mobilise support for her until she got elected into the national assembly.
Ativie was the speaker of Edo State House of Assembly from May 9, 2016 to July 24, 2016.
