NBTE inspects facilities of 7 new course at Malikiyya College Bauchi for accreditation

The National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) has visited Malikiya College of Health and Social Science, Bauchi to inspect facilities that will qualify the health institution get accreditation of some courses to improve the standard of college.
The Registrar of the college, Malam Tafida Mohammed Dagauda, who spoke to journalists shortly after the inspection visit by the officials of NBTE for the accreditation of some courses in Bauchi said that the seven courses to be accredited includes National Diploma in Community Health, National Diploma Health, National Diploma Pharmacy, National Diploma Environmental Health, Information Management.
Others are Higher National Diploma in Information Technology, Higher National Diploma in Dental Health as well as Higher National Diploma in Environmental Management.
According to the Registrar, the college is making efforts to introduce new courses like epidemiology, disease control, Nursing and Midwifery courses.
He added that the college had so far more than 3000 students, with 66 permanent staff, 170 part-time staff comprising of holder’s of PhDs, Masters degree and experienced degree holders respectively.
“The institution is very much prepared and received the NBTE team since two weeks back, adding that NBTE had earlier visited the school in 2020, 2022 and they are also here now for the second round of the visit. “So far they’ve gone through to inspect the output, input and all other facilities, laboratories, texts books and equipment’s as well as the courses so that we’ll achieve the desired goals,” Dagauda explained.
He expressed hope and confidence that all the courses inspected by the regulatory body will be accredited as the visitors were highly impressed with the facilities and structures found in the institution.
