NDE flags-off training of 93,731 Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Employment Initiative nationwide

The Minister of Labour and Employment, Alhaji Muhammed Maigari Dingyadi has flagged off President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Employment Initiative of 93,731 youth across the country.
He made the statement at the flag-off of The Renewed Hope Employment Initiative by the National Directorate of Employment (NDE) in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation at NDE skills acquisition centre, Kuduru, Bwari Area Council, FCT, Abuja on Friday.
The Minister was represented by Permanent secretary of the ministry Mr. John Inyamale who said, “It is a great honor as NDE is targeting 93,731 Nigerians nationwide for skills acquisition.
“This is great news for youth, women and people with special needs who have been given special needs in different skills like Information Communication Technology, ICT, which is a digital skill needed for 21st century.
“I commend NDE under Hon Silas Ali Agara for this step for designing and equipping this start up, indeed you represent the desire of the federal government with seriousness to change life of the youth positively.”. Said Alhaji Dingyadi.
In his speech, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Professor Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda who was represented at the event by Mr. Odi Barry said, “I commend the effort of NDE and the actions of the DG for his transformation of the Directorate since when it was establish.
“NDE should liaise with Public Private Partnership, (PPP) to make the program continue and to keep on recording more successes for our children and for the growth and development of Nigeria.

In his speech, Direction General of NDE, Hon Silas Ali Agara said, “When President Ahmed Bola Tinubu appointed mess the DG of NDE, he charged me with the immediate task of overhauling the Directorate with a view to reposition it for optimised employment creation. The renewed Hope Employment Initiative is our effort at checking the scourge of unemployment in Nigeria.”
Some of the beneficiaries said they are happy with the Renewed Hope Employment Initiative which will train them to be self reliant and even be employers of labour in ICT, Tailoring, Solar Installation amongst others.
The event was graced by Senator, Dikket Palang, Chairman Senate Committee on Labour, Hon Adefarati Adebayo, Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Labour, DG Michael Imodu Instead of Labour Studies Comrade Isa Aremu, Official from National Productivity Center, Mrs. Rosemary Esokakpe, representative of Etsu Bwari, Zakwa Ibrahim and many stakeholders.
