NDE must reposition itself to achieve its mission – DG Agara

The Director General of the National Directorate of Employment (NDE), Dr. Silas Agara has paid an unscheduled visit to the Kaduna office of the organisation, demanding staff to key into the ongoing reforms aimed at repositioning the organisation.
Agara while addressing management and staff of the organisation, lauded their commitment to work and loyalty to the ideals of the scheme.
He also encouraged NDE staff nationwide to key into the current reform by promoting their activities in the media to increase visibility and attract government support.
“The move will place the organisation in a positive light, attracting the support of government at the sub national level to complement what they are doing,” Agara said,
Agara assured staff of enhanced welfare packages, promotions, and a new salary structure in the upcoming budget.
“We shall continue to give your promotion and other welfare incentives attention, we are also working on a new salary structure for staff of NDE in the new budget to be passed by the National Assembly,” he said.
The state coordinator of NDE, Halima Waziri, welcomed the visit, praising Agara’s pragmatic steps aimed at changing the NDE narrative for the better.
The brief session featured Q&A segment, fostering open communication between staff and management.
Agara was in Kaduna for the Arewa Think Tank’s inaugural lecture series where he seized the chance to visit the NDE office and boost staff morale with an impromptu meet-and-greet session.
