Songs and praises took centre-stage during the historic Sea of Galilee boat cruise on Monday as Nigerian Christian pilgrims visit Holy Sites in Israel.

All the pilgrims in seven groups took turns round the Sea of Galilee singing and praising God all through the ride.

Group seven leader, Pastor Aaron Kinu Kabirwa during the boat cruise led the praise session with Rev Father Joseph Gandu saying the closing prayer. Later, pilgrims made offering on the boat.

Earlier in the day, pilgrims were taken round the Mount of Beautitutes where Jesus Christ preached of good living to the crowd.

Thereafter, pilgrims were taken to the Mount of Multiplication, Tabgha, where Jesus fed the multitude with two loaves of bread and two fishes with leftovers. A church was built there in 1920.

Pilgrims also visited Capernaum where Jesus stayed in the house of Peter, preached and healed Peter’s mother-in-law. Jesus also continuously preached at the synagogue.

On Tuesday, pilgrims are expected to visit Canaan land, old Jericho and Bethlehem, the birthplace of Jesus Christ.
