A Minister of God, Pastor Patrick Orogbu has called on Nigerians to embark on prayers to ensure smooth conduct of next month’s general elections.
Speaking to newsmen in Awka, Anambra State, Pastor Orogbu who is also the Director in charge of Education, Women and Youths of the State Chapter of Christian Association of Nigerian (CAN), described prayer as key to recording successes.
He described the recent prayer and fasting embarked upon by the national body of the Christian Association of Nigeria, for free, fair and credible elections in Nigeria as apt.
The Man of God urged eligible voters in Nigeria to ensure that they obtain their Permanent Voter Cards to enable them exercise their franchise during the forthcoming elections.
Pastor Orogbu, used the opportunity to advice youths to maintain peace and unity during and after elections warning them against engaging in thurggery and violence.
The CAN executive member, equally urged Ministers of God to always preach the gospel of peace and true reconciliation reminding them of the need to avoid acts that will destroy the image of CAN in the state.
