Nigeria’s drug law enforcing agency Adamawa zone prosecutes 294

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) Adamawa Zonal Command, has arrested over 843 suspects in connection to drugs abuse in Adamawa, Gombe and Taraba states.

Of this number, the agency prosecuted 294, while 761 are awaiting for judgement.

The zonal commander of the agency, Mohammed Bello Idris made this known to newsmen in Yola, Adamawa state capital.

According to him, the command achieved tremendous success towards making their areas free from peddling and consumption of drugs and other illicit substances.

Bello said the agency in the 3 states achieved a lot towards sensitisation, rehabilitation, arrest and prosecution of drugs peddlers.

The zonal Commander attributed the successes recorded to the Chief Executive Officer of the agency, Brigadier General Muhammad Buba Marwa, (rtd).
