The North East Youths Discussion Cycle (NEYDC), a political pressure group has commended the reappointment of Mohammed Goni Alkali as MD/CEO of North East Development Commission (NEDC) as announced by the Federal Government on Wednesday.
The Chairman of North East Youths Discussion Cycle, Prince Mohammed Sani Hassan made the commendation during a press conference in Bauchi State on Thursday.
He said that, “the reappointment of Mohammed G Alkali did not came to us as a surprise, we have been expecting this for quite a long time. We appreciate His Excellency, the President of Nigeria, Sen Bola Ahmed Tinubu.”
According to him, “Mohammed G Alkali has done so much to the development of North East region, we are very much greatful for his reappointment. We are very much sure he will do more to the development of our Zone. We are very much proud of him.”
Mohammed Sani Hassan added that,”This is another face of development in the North East, we call on all Youths and students group in North East to show their support to the tremendous development of North East Development Commission under the leadership of Mohammed G Alkali.”
“We shall organize an enlightenment program across the six states of North East for Youths leaders and students leaders to understand much about the responsibilities and achievements of the North-East Development Commission,” he added.
The leader of the NEYDC concluded stressing that,”Indeed, Mohammed G Alkali is an icon of hope to the development of the North East subregion under the North East development Commission. We wish him a successful second tenure in office.”
