NSUK’s Jose Centino Centre receives global recognition in Romania

The Nasarawa State University, Keffi, has been commended for establishing the Jose A. Centino International Centre for Medical Geology Research JACMEDGEO.
Statement by Information and Protocol Unit of the University indicates that, NSUK received commendation and global recognition at the 75th General Assembly and Scientific Congress of the World Federation of Hydrotherapy and Climatotheraphy FEMTEC currently holding in Bran, Romania.
Receiving the Award on behalf of the University, the Director of the Centre who is also the Director of Linkages and International Cooperation Dr. K’tso Ngharbu dedicated the award to all Senate Members of the University who saw and identified the need for the Centre to pioneer research in the field of Medical Geology, hence becoming the first institution in the world to offer such specialised degree programme.
Dr. K’tso used the platform of the event to appreciate the International Medical Geology Association IMGA, and Nigerian Mining and Geosciences Society NMGS for supporting the initiative.
