The Okpoko community in Anambra State’s Ogbaru Local Government Area has come out in force to show their appreciation for Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s development efforts.
The Ochendo for Soludo Support Group organized a solidarity walk, which drew men, women, and youths from the community, all praising the Governor and carrying banners expressing their gratitude.
During the walk, participants inspected various ongoing government projects, including the new Okpoko General Hospital, a government-funded pipe-borne water project, solar-powered streetlights, and road constructions.
The community leaders and support group members commended Governor Soludo for his commitment to infrastructure development, particularly in Okpoko, which had suffered years of neglect.
Mr. Martins Eze, Coordinator of the Ochendo for Soludo Support Group, praised the Governor’s efforts, stating that the walk was a gesture of appreciation and a demonstration of their unwavering support ahead of the November 8 election.
Community stakeholders, including Hons. Ezeribe Ezeanuna, Ephraim Madu, and Mrs. Ebere Umeh, described the ongoing projects as a sign of true democracy in action.
Residents expressed gratitude to Governor Soludo for improving their living conditions and giving them a renewed sense of belonging.
The Governor has indeed made significant efforts to develop Okpoko, including inaugurating nine road projects and pledging more infrastructure development in the area.
