Ondo primary election: Governors Fintiri, Ifeanyi, others meet PDP stakeholders

Ahead of the Governorship primarily election of the People’s Democratic Party In Ondo State, the electoral committee has met to discuss modalities of the exercise in Akure, the Ondo state capital.

The Electoral Committee comprised of Enugu State Governor Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi as chairman, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, vice chairman and Mohammed Imam, secretary among others who have been mandated by the party to conduct the primary election.

At a brief meeting with stakeholders in Akure on Tuesday, the two governors appealed to the stakeholders to prevail on the people to ensure a peaceful process, promising to give all parties in the contest a level playing ground.

The stakes are high in Ondo, but the committee is optimistic of victory at the end of the day and therefore wants the people to do the needful that will translate to PDP forming government in the state. The primary election is billed for Wednesday July 22, 2020.
