Online stakeholders brainstorm on digital entrepreneurship

Individuals, critical stakeholders and various companies carrying out different forms of businesses on digital and online platforms are now in Awka for the maiden edition of Digipreneur Week.
Coined from the word Digital Entrepreneurship, Digipreneur week, has become the first gathering of online platform owners and investors in a single venue ever in the history of the State.
It was initiated by the office of the Senior Special Assistant to the Anambra State Governor on Youth Development and Digital Entrepreneurship and the Ministry of Youth Empowerment and Creative Economy, with the aim of exposing Anambra Youths to the opportunities that abound in the digital world.
The theme “the Next Level” and providing a geometric networking opportunities and digital skills capital development attractions, the week will lead to opening up the state to digital solutions to business needs and provide mentorships for startup companies.
Explaining further on the importance of building a digital technology base in the state, the convener of the weeklong event and Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Youth Development and Digital Entrepreneurship, Mr. Ifeanyi Aniagor, said the forum will help empower young people with the ability to create jobs and as well meet the needs of new companies who are coming into the state.
Other Speakers at the forum including the Commissioner for Environment, Mr Mike Okonkwo, the Chief Executive Officer of Stanel Group, Mr Stanly Uzochukwu and traditional ruler of Ifitedunu, Igwe Emeka Iluno in their separate remarks maintained that digital media and businesses open better opportunities for wealth creation and revenue generation for any society:
A resource person and the Chief Executive Officer of DigitalPRWire, a leading digital reputation management provider in Africa, Mr. Celestine Achi while delivering one of the key lectures, explored the opportunities for investments in digital media and better ways to maximize the opportunities.
The Digipreneur Week which ends this Thursday after series of trainings, workshops, networking, and mentorship classes will herald a monthly mentorship moment where top business leaders in the country including Linda Ikeji of Lindaikejiblog, Dr. Ifeanyi Ubah of Capital Oil and Gas, Mr. Tony Elumelu of Tony Elumelu Foundation, Noble Igwe of 360nobs and many others will have opportunity to interact and provide business skills to over one thousand youths who must apply the lessons of the week.
