Ordega named Woman of the Match in Nigeria win vs South Africa

Super Falcons winger, Francisca Ordega was named woman of the match of the match in Nigeria’s 4-3 penalty shoot-out win against the Banyana Banyana of South Africa in the final match of the 2018 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations Cup at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
It was second time Ordega who plays for Spanish club, Atlético Madrid will win the individual honour in the competition.
She was named woman of the match in Nigeria’s second group game against the Shepolopolo of Zambia which they won 4-0.
Ordega scored a goal and grabbed an assist in that encounter at the Cape Coast Stadium.
The winger produced a fine performance against South Africans and won a penalty in the 73rd minute which was missed by Asisat Oshoala.
The talented winger who was named among the substitutes in the CAF best 11 for the group stage was replaced by Chinanza Uchendu in the 112th minute. (Complete Sports)
