Sergeant Alhassan feared killed by kidnappers

The Chairman of Keffi Local Government Area, in Nasarawa State, Honourable Mohammed Baba Shehu has been reported kidnapped along Gudi station in Akwanga Local Government Area of the state.
Report reaching Apex News Exclusive had it that the police sergeant attached to the chairman, Alhassan Habeeb was shot dead on the spot as a result of exchange of fire between him and the kidnappers in attempt to defend the chairman.
The chairman who is a member of Keffi Old Boys Association, on Friday attended the association AGM where he gave a goodwill message and later left was said to be heading towards Lafia and some of his aides including the police officer, however ran into the gang of kidnappers at Gudi where he was kidnapped and his SA on special duties.
As at the time of filing this report no information from either the police or relations of the deceased or kidnapped chairman on the whereabouts of the chairman.
Alhassan Habeeb is also a 400 level student of the Nasarawa State University keffi, studying sociology, who would have graduated if not for the ASUU strike.
Confiding to Apex News Exclusive, the Nasarawa State Police command spokesperson, ASP Nansel Ramhan said investigation has been intensified and that the body of the deceased police officer has been recovered at about 7pm last night.
He further added that no information yet about the where about of the kidnapped chairman and his aides, as the police are not relenting on ensuring that they unearth and apprehend the kidnappers and their gang.
