Parents charged to give proper moral upbringing to children as panacea to better future

The General Overseer of Christian Evangelical Fellowship of Nigeria (CEFN),mission Rev. Bala Usman has urged parent to take seriously the discipline and upbringing of their children in the way of the lord for a better future.

The clergy was speaking at the weekend during the occasion of solemnization of Holy Matrimony between former Rachel Alaji and Ibidun George which took place in Ajetachi,Anyigba Kogi State.

The clergy who took his sermon from the book of Genesis Chapter 24 verse 51down, cited the example of Abraham who instructed his maid servants to go fourth to make a choice of Rebecca for Isaac his son.
He used the opportunity to called on all at the occasion to follow God’s given ordinances as it relates to marriage in all ramification.
While lamenting against inordinate behavior and moral breakdown in the society specially among youths of  our generation, warned that such unruly conduct  would attract God’s wrath in the future unless people repent and turn a new leave.
The man of God also used the opportunity of the wedding ceremony to warn parents/guardiance against some culture where children  are being forced into marital homes even though not emotionally attached to each other.
In another interview, the Natforce Director Kogi State Command, Sunday Omata enjoined the new couple to adhere strictly to  Biblical principles for their family assuring that the creator and formulator of marriage has given each family what he calls ‘family manual’ that can help them at every given time.
Omata also used the opportunity to advice youths against all forms of social ills such as kidnapping, prostitution,smoking among others urging them to  imbibe the fear of God in their career choices.

Natforce staff in charge of Logistics in Kogi state,Tijani Aridaojo also described the occasion as a well deserved one, acknowledging that marriage is a divine union that must always be respected by all.

He also advised those who are yet to marry  to pray and seek the face of God in their choice of husband and wife.

In his separate interview , the Natforce director for Abia State, Silas Ihemeremadu described Godly Marriage as  “an honour to every home and family advising  youths to emulate good example of the new wedded couple.

The Village chief, in charge of Itama community Dekina Local Government Council, His Royal Highness Chief  Shargari Ebije Igor also described marriage as an institution..

He also used the occasion to commend the  wedded couples to incessantly imbibe the culture of tolerance and patience toward each other while warning them against   third party in their home.

In her opinions, Hannah  Attah of Kogi State culture and tourism office, sed the occasion to remind singles and spinsters  to exhibit the culture of waiting on  God for the right time and mate to marry.

Also speaking in an interview was the Natforce Deputy Director Kogi State Command. Olumerin Olusegun patrick who commended Natforce members staff especially those from Kogi state for their  contribution to toward the colourful occasion.

The ceremony which was held at C.E.F.N headquarters Agetachi Anyigba drew the  attendance of Natforce national officers and  Directors from some states.

In his vote of thanks, the father of the bride Alaji Joseph thanked all who contributed in cash and in kind to make the occasion a reality.
Joseph, in particular commended the Natforce members at all levels who made selfless effort at all sectors to make him fulfilled his dream, while praying God to abundantly replenish pockets of all.

The occasion was colourfully marked with several display of Natforce live band whose parade to honor their visiting national officers were visibly excited with musicals and match past.
